Dupree Farms is a 3rd generation family farm located in Angier, North Carolina on the edge of Harnett, Wake, and Johnston counties. The farm is owned and operated by Roger Dupree and his son Nicholas Dupree.
Roger, like most children of his time grew up working in the fields. He tended 25 acres of tobacco his first year while attending Campbell College, majoring in Business. Nicholas, following his fathers footsteps, continued working on the farm while attending N.C. State University majoring in Field Crop Technology.
In the summer of 2009, Roger’s son-in-law, Brian Fox began working full time on the farm. His employment has allowed them to expand their operation over the last few years. Today the farm employs several full time and part time employees year round and up to 60 seasonal workers. Working together they now tend about 3,000 acres – with 1,800 acres of soybeans, 200 acres of sweet potatoes, 400 acres of tobacco, and 450 acres of wheat.
